Grace Corsi’s love of acoustic instruments, beautiful voice, and good change come together in a powerful way in her most recent musical endeavor. Her skill as an assured and honest songwriter is demonstrated by the songwriting emphasis, and her voice has a tone that is both soft and impassioned. Grace’s wide range of inspirations is reflected in the composition’s rich and heartfelt musical tapestry, which is produced by an elaborate weaving together of percussion and strings. This song not only demonstrates Grace Corsi’s musical abilities but also her commitment to positive change, community development, and storytelling.
Her music’s introspective approach and natural imagery are reflections of her artistic path, which began in Seattle’s gorgeous environs. Grace’s creative musical technique blends jazz harmony with folk melodies, creating a sound that defies convention. Grace draws from her dual degrees in Jazz Voice and GeoDesign. Her songs contain uplifting and meaningful sentiments that align with her dedication to sustainability and community health, which is demonstrated in her work in urban planning.
The inventive songwriting and the well-balanced use of acoustic elements guarantee that listeners are taken on an enthralling musical and natural exploration.
Grace says, “I wrote this song in the hallway of a Vienna hostel with a borrowed guitar – inspired by the striking architecture, the layers of history and a disappointing visit with someone I was trying not to love. As both a songwriter and urban planner, my songs are deeply rooted in a sense of place; the song’s chorus personifies the city and likens my love to a uselessly beautiful artefact, a grand gesture. I composed the string quartet parts to reinforce the song’s drama, whimsy, and dark romanticism. It’ll be released in late fall’s poetic dying moments.”
